Yana Charoenboonvivat

PhD Candidate

Yana is a Ph.D. candidate at MIT AeroAstro and a National Science Foundation (NSF) graduate research fellow. She is currently advised by Professor Olivier de Weck and her research focuses on power systems for future human missions to the Moon and Mars. She received her B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, M.S in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT, and is currently an Aerospace Engineering Pathways Intern at the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC). At JSC, she has worked with the Flight Operations Directorate on mission operations for the ISS and Artemis program. She has also worked with the Spacecraft Performance and Concept Engineering branch on future Human Mars Mission Architecture.
