Skylar is a final year PhD candidate working with Ed Crawley. She is a recipient of the National Science Foundation Fellowship, which helps support her research on autonomous satellite communication networks. She was a 2023 Matt Isakowitz fellow and a 2018 Brooke Owens fellow. Prior to her graduate studies, Skylar received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and has interned at Avascent, the Aerospace Corporation, Raytheon BBN, and SpaceX. Skylar is also involved in a research project where she builds machine learning models for financial options, and loves to share her passions for space systems, optimization, and finance through mentorship opportunities.
