Noam Eisen

SM Candidate

Before coming to MIT, Noam Eisen led a varied existence as freelance aerospace engineer, flight instructor, technical advisor, ferry pilot, startup founder, and maintenance test pilot, among others. His interests lie at the intersection of human factors, system safety, handling qualities, system design, and flight test, but his systems mindset and his fascination with all things flying-related mean you’ll usually find him weaving together a broad spectrum of aviation topics. Noam holds numerous FAA pilot and instructor qualifications, as well as prior degrees in Electrical Engineering and Robotics. Outside of work you’ll find him playing piano, biking, reading, spending time outdoors with friends, and flying every aircraft type he can get his hands on (over 160 so far, and ever in search of new learning opportunities…). “There is always more to learn, and so much joy in learning!”
