Manwei Chan

PhD Candidate

Manwei is an NSF Fellow and PhD Candidate in Aerospace Engineering at MIT. He wants to mature the commercial space ecosystem, eventually allowing more people and projects to utilize space. As a Draper Fellow, he wrote a guidance algorithm that would allow satellite servicing vehicles to dock with a tumbling object. Outside of academics he is involved with STEM outreach, running the MIT Space Seminar and other events to get the community excited about space. In his free time, he likes to ski, hike, and play football (soccer).
