Johannes Norheim

Postdoctoral Researcher

Johannes received a B.S. and M.S in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from MIT in 2016 and 2018, respectively, and completed his Ph.D. in Engineering Systems in 2022. His research includes the application of Natural Language Processing to extract structured data from engineering requirements and manipulating design equations in the conceptual design phase that result in improved mathematical formulations for design and optimization. His current research focuses on better understanding and connecting the exchange across disciplines, and lifecycle phases, of heterogeneous engineering data artifacts that are the result of computation, physical testing, or changes in the underlying design objectives and requirements.
