Christina Nguyen is an SM candidate in the Strategic Engineering Research Group within MIT’s AeroAstro Engineering Systems Laboratory. She earned her B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, with a minor in Theater Arts, from MIT in 2024. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research on technology roadmapping for Mars Sample Return and interned at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where she analyzed high science value, cost effective, low mass technologies for future Mars missions. Now, she is researching technologies enabling the production, storage, and use of methane as a future fuel in both aviation and space, emphasizing cross-domain synergies to guide technology investment. Christina is also a Comm Fellow with the AeroAstro Communication Lab. Her academic and professional interests include systems engineering, space logistics, interplanetary exploration, and human systems design.
