Chloe Gentgen is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT and a Research Assistant in the Engineering Systems Lab. Her research focuses on space systems engineering, mission architecture, space propulsion, and multi-disciplinary optimization. Chloe graduated with her M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT in 2022, studying tradespace exploration and design optimization of propulsion systems for small satellites. Passionate about space exploration, Chloe has worked on multiple mission architecture projects, including several NASA RASC-AL competitions with MIT’s team and the Caltech Space Challenge, and has interned at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in mission formulation. Before joining MIT, Chloe received a B.S. and M.S. in Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris, Paris-Saclay University in France.
