Chloe Gentgen is a Ph.D. candidate in MIT’s Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Her research focuses on space systems engineering, mission architecture, and uncertainty quantification in support of planetary exploration. Chloe develops robust and adaptable mission design strategies for missions investigating uncertain and dynamic phenomena. As part of this work, she interned three summers at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a formulation systems engineer, contributing to mission concepts for Uranus and Enceladus. Chloe earned an M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT in 2022, researching tradespace exploration and design optimization of propulsion systems for small satellites in reconfigurable constellations. Prior to MIT, she received a B.S. and M.S. in Engineering from École Centrale Paris (Paris-Saclay University) and interned at an airship start-up and at Thales Alenia Space.
